PHE employees hold demonstration at Reasi

JAMMU, Aug 6: PHE employees held a demonstration at PHE Complex Reasi today in which a large number of employees drawn from different parts of district participated.
The protest was held under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma provincial president, PHE Employees Association Jammu province.
Raising slogans in support of their demand demanded immediate solution of the same. Addressing the demonstrators Som Nath warned that in case Government failed to release the pending wages of last 20 months the Association will be forced to take extreme step.
He demanded regularization of CP workers before the announcement of code of conduct failing which the 40000 to 50000 daily wagers and their families will oppose the coalition candidate in the coming Assembly elections.
Baldev Raj district president Reasi, and Vijay Sharma district general secretary Udhampur said that employees will go for total strike and they are waiting fro a call from Central body of PHE Employees Association in this regard.
The protestors demanded release of pending wages, no new scheme be commissioned in the Department till the engagement of new workers, implementation of minimum wages act and workers be paid Rs 150 per day, repair of pump rooms, creation of new posts as per norms and release of 10 percent DA in favour of State Government employees from January 1 this year.
Som Nath also made an appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma demanding regularization of PHE workers.
