GOC Romeo Force interacts with BGSBU students

JAMMU, Oct 5: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), Major General Paramdeep Singh Bajwa interacted with students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, who had gone on Capacity Building Tour to Fishery Industry and Shipyard at Goa from 16 to 27 September, 18.
The event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor and s also attended by other Army officers alongwith approximately 500 students and faculty of BGSBU.
The participants of the tour shared their enriching experiences with the audience and highlighted the exposure they got during the tour which included visit to Indian Naval establishments at Karwar and Goa, Signals Training Centre, Birla Institutes of Technology and Science, Antarctic Centre for Ocean Research and the Goa Shipyard. The students had also interacted with Governor of Goa, Mridula Sinha, who encouraged them to excel in their respective fields and do well in their lives while the students had visited Raj Bhawan.
The tour participants were also taken to all tourist places in and around Goa to include Dona Poula, Churches at old Goa, Panjim Market and Cruise on River Mandovi. The tour participants gave their feedback and shared their learning experiences with the university students during the event.
This kind of a tour was a maiden experience for all the participants and has motivated the students to excel in their studies and educated them about the avenues and opportunities available to them.
