GOC presents scooters to disabled soldiers

Jammu, July 25: As a tribute to the gallant veterans who served the country, an ‘Ex- Servicemen Rally’ was organised by the “The Tiger Division” at Kaluchak on the eve of the Kargil Vijay Diwas. The rally was aimed at recognising the sacrifice of the veterans who were injured and disabled in the “Line of Duty”.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant General YVK Mohan, GOC, Rising Star Corps, acknowledged the yeoman service rendered by the veterans and setting high standards for the present men in uniform to emulate. He also presented mobility scooters to the disabled veterans.
He interacted with the veterans and assured them that the Army Formation will take all possible measures to alleviate their problems.
The event was part of the series of events being organised by the Rising Star Corps as part of the Vision of the Army 2018, ‘The Year of the Disabled’. The Tiger Division remains committed to this cause, with pioneering effort being carried out by it in areas, which is home to “The Bravest of the Braves”.
