JAMMU, Dec 31: Geology and Mining Employees Welfare Association (GMEWA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Ravi Singh Bhau and flayed the Government for not implementing the agreements carried out with the representatives of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC).
While speaking, Ravi Singh Bhau highlighted demands including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, implementation of 6th Pay Commission in favour of remaining public sector organization, enhancement of retirement age, regularization of adhoc, contractual and daily rated workers and enhancement of medical allowances.
The association extended support to the three days “Kaam Choro Hartal” call given by JCC from January 8.
Among others present were Brijesh Mehta, Raj Nath Raina, Sham Lal, Rajesh Mehta, Avtar Singh, Sewa Ram, Kanwal Krishan Bhat, Rohin Nanda, Sunil Nehru, Darshan Kumar, Jogh Raj, Ashok Kumar, etc.
