SRINAGAR, May 17: The Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag has issued strict instructions to its employees and associated institutions, directing them to follow the prescribed official communication channels and remain accessible on mobile phones during duty hours.
In a circular Principal/ Dean, GMC Anantnag stated tthat it had observed that employees were directly submitting representations and applications to the administration without routing them through their respective controlling officers or Heads of Departments.

Employees have been instructed to first approach their controlling officers or Heads of Departments, who may forward the matter to the administration after due examination.
It further stated that all documents and files intended for submission to the administration must be routed through authorised dak runners duly approved by the concerned controlling officers or Heads of Departments.
The administration also directed employees to keep their mobile phones switched on and remain accessible at all times, warning that instances of phones being switched off or employees remaining unreachable without valid justification would be viewed seriously.
The circular additionally asked all Heads of Departments and in-charge section officers to furnish updated contact details and alternate phone numbers of employees working under them to ensure proper communication and coordination.
The order warned that non-compliance with the instructions would invite strict action.
