JAMMU, June 17: Rich tributes were paid to Hira Lal Chatta, former president All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) a dynamic leader and an RSS ideologue on his sixth death anniversary by prominent people across the political and social organisations.
In this connection a function was organised by Raizada Gurdayal Singh Bali Deshmaesh Nagar Digiana near here in which prominent people from different organisations participated.
Senior BJP and KP leader Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo recalled selfless services and contribution of Chatta for the cause of community and nation as a whole especially after the mass exodus of the community.
BJP leader Virenderjit Singh and JMC Sanitation Committee chairman, Baldev Singh Billawaria also paid rich tributes to late leader and recalled their association with him. They described him a roaring lion who never compromised with secessionist and anti national elements in Kashmir and always challenged them from the front.
Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Vinay Gupta, Gurdayal Singh Bali, Paramjit Singh, Subash Chaudhary , Virender Raina and Alok Chatta were among others who paid tributes to the late leader.
At a function organised by All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) under the leadership of its president, Advocate Ravinder Raina all members paid glowing tributes to late leader and recalled the services rendered by him to the nation and minorities in the Valley and after the mass exodus of KPs to the community. Dr T K Bhat general secretary, ASKPC in his tributes described him a selfless leader who served the community and nation till his last breath. R K Wanggnoo, C L Bhat, T K Pandita, Prof Bhan, S K Raina, Raj Nath, B K Mujoo, Bharat Bhushan Gosani, Kuldeep Raina, president, SVS, Rajinder Kilm, Ravinder Razdan, Dr Ramesh Bhat , Ashok Dhar, Veena Gurtoo, Ruby Mattoo, Usha Ji, Shoki Lidoo, Sarla and Daizy, Sarla Bhat, Sunita Raina, Ravi Raina, Sunil Bhat, Sunil Koul, Deepak Moza, Sunil Koul and others paid tributes to Chatta on the occasion.
A function was organised by Kashmiri Pandit Conference under the leadership of its president Kundan Kashmiri at Dwarika New Delhi in which services of Chatta to community and a nation as a whole were recalled. His contribution in restoring the Dharamshall at Haridwar was also highlighted by Kashmiri.
JKVM leaders Ashok Kangan, Hira Lal Bhat and Bushan Lal Bhat also organised a tribute giving function at Bohri in which the services of great leader were recalled.
Another function was organised by Amar Balidan Trust a non political organisation under the leadership of S K Bhat Malmohi in which glowing tributes were paid to H L Chatta. The speakers on the occasion recalled his selfless contribution to the community as well as the nation. Maintaining a social distance the members vowed to fulfil to fulfil the unfinished task of late leader.
