AMRITSAR, Aug 2: Establishing new milestones, students of Global Institutes Amritsar (GIA) created new records in the PTU (Punjab Technical University) Merit list. As many as 78 students of GIA got a place in the merit list issued by PTU in different streams.
As many as ten (10) GIA students bagged First positions in different courses, including- Navalpreet Kaur (B Sc HMCT 2nd Sem), Bhanupriya (B. Tech CSE 8th sem), Harsimran Jit Kaur (B Tech IT 6th Sem), Ravi Thukral (B. Tech ME 8th Sem), Amroj Preet Singh (B Tech ME 6th Sem), Salwinder Kaur (MCA 4th Sem), Rupinder Kaur (B. Tech IT 5th Sem), Mohit Singh B. Tech ME 3rd Sem), Amrojpreet Singh (B Tech ME7th Sem), Sandeep Kaur (MCA 5th Sem).
Six (6) students won the 2nd positions, including – Amanpreet Singh (B Sc ATHM 2nd Sem), Sakshi Sharma (B. Tech CSE 2nd Sem), Harwinder Singh (B. Tech ME 8th Sem), Mandeep Kaur (MCA 6th Sem), Aanchal Madaan (MCA 6th Sem), Radhika (B. Tech IT 5th Sem).
And seven (7) students grabbed the 3rd position, including – Sukhraj Singh (B. Sc. Agri. 2nd Sem), Gaganpreet Kaur (B. Sc. HMCT 2nd Sem), Ravneet Kaur (B. Tech CSE 8th Sem), Chailpreet Kaur (B. Tech IT 6th Sem), Om Prakash (B. Tech ME 8th Sem), Rashpal Singh (B. Tech ME 3rd Sem), Simranjeet Kaur (MCA 3rd Sem).
Congratulating students, parents, faculty and staff on this great academic performance, Chairman, Dr B S Chandi observed that it is the result of sincere hard work and consistent effort by all the stake holders. “We are committed to raise the standard of education to the world-class level and these remarkable results are another step towards that benchmark,” he said.
Vice-Chairman, Dr Akash-deep Singh observed that there was no substitute to hard work in life.
Earlier, the GIA bagged 7- Punjab Technical University Gold Medalists positions. With the latest PTU release, the toppers tally for GIA has reached 32 and as many as 228 students of the Institute have attained university merit positions.
