Dr Jitendra expresses shock

KATHUA Jan 30: A 17-year-old girl student was killed and nine others injured after being hit by a speeding car outside their school in Kathua district, today officials said.
The students were waiting for a bus at Barwal Morh along Jammu-Pathankot Highway when they were run over around 12.45 pm, they added.
Police said ,the students were of D S Heritage School, Barwal Morh, Kathua. A speedy car bearing Registration Number PB08CW/8368 on its way from Punjab towards Jammu hit them near DS Heritage School Barwal Morh on National Highway resulting in injuries to eleven children and death of one girl on spot . They were immediately shifted to GMC Kathua for treatment. The school management and family members immediately started rescue operation and shifted them to hospital.
Bumika Hans, 17, daughter of Ashok Kumar Hans of Nihalpur Palli Morh was declared brought dead by doctors.
The injured have been identified as Aryan Sharma, 17, son of Tilk Raj of Dhanni Bhakta, Pragthi, 17, son of Pankaj Sharma of Budhi, Shagun, 15, daughter of Krishan Kumar of Ganyari, Vansh Kumar, 16, son of Pawan Kumar of Muthi Jagir – Hitesh Kumar, 16, son of Manhor Lal of Muthi Jagir and Natesh Kumar, 17, son of Nar Singh Dayal of Nihalpur who had received grievous injuries were referred to Punjab for special treatment.
Raghunandan ,17, son of Darshan Kumar Chadwal Sourab, 16, Govind and Anush Ramotra 17, son of Rampaul of Palli are undergoing treatment in GMC Kathua.
The Principal GMC, Kathua, Surinder Attri, DC Kathua, Rahul Pandey and SP Kathua, Shiv Dev Singh reached the GMC to supervise the Healthcare arrangement.
The car was seized by police and its driver was arrested.
Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh expressed his profound grief over the road accident in which one girl died and 10 other children were injured. He directed the district administration to take care of injured children and make arrangements for all possible help.
