JAMMU, Aug 25: A girl was allegedly raped by her Facebook (FB) friend.
As per police sources, a girl hailing from Kunjwani was allegedly raped by a youth identified as Surinder Kumar, son of Parkash Chand, a resident of District Kathua, who met her through social networking site ‘Facebook’.
The youth threatened the girl of dire consequences if she revealed the ordeal to anyone.
The girl mustered courage and narrated the whole episode to her parents, who lodged a complaint in this regard with Police Station Gangyal.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 90/19 under section 376 RPC was registered at Gangyal Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the alleged rapist.
