SAMBA, Apr 26: A three-year-old girl died while her mother, father and brother were injured in a road accident at Nud in Samba.
According to the information received, a truck coming from Udhampur towards Samba and a motorcycle going from Samba towards Udhampur collided with each other, after which all the people riding on the motorcycle were injured. With the help of local people, all the injured were brought to District Hospital Samba. On reaching the hospital, one of the injured, a three-year-old girl, was declared as brought dead by the doctor while the other injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
After the accident, the truck driver left the truck and ran away from the spot. The deceased was identified as 3-year-old Divanshi Sharma, daughter of Sham Lal, while the injured were identified as Sham Lal, son of Ram Murti, Dimple Kumari, wife of Sham Lal and Ganik Sharma, son of Sham Lal. All residents of Surada. The body of the girl has been handed over to the family members for the last rites after completing all the formalities from the district hospital.
In this regard Samba police have registered a case and seized the truck and have started the search for the absconding truck driver.
