JAMMU, Mar 15: A minor girl has been hospitalised after she jumped from a bridge over river Tawi here today.
As per police sources, a 16-year-old girl hailing from Qasim Nagar area of Jammu jumped from a bridge over river Tawi. The girl was saved by three youths, who were who were moving on the banks of the river.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the girl to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
It was not immediately known why the girl tried to end her life, sources said, adding Gujjar Nagar Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
