JAMMU, May 28: An 18-year-old girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Gole Panj Pir area falling under the jurisdiction of police post Pounichak.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl has been identified as Sonia daughter of Vijay Sharma of Gole Panj Pir in Talab Tillo area. In unconscious condition, family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for treatment. However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
