JAMMU, May 9: A 19-year old girl who allegedly tried to end her life on Friday by consuming some poisonous substance, at her residence in Poonch district, today passed away at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl identified as Yaseen Kousar daughter of Zakkar Hussain, a resident of Mendhar in Poonch district, had allegedly tried to kill her by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence on Friday
On the same day, in serious condition the girl was rushed to Sub-District Hospital, Poonch, from where she was later shifted to GMCH Jammu, where she expired this afternoon.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
