JAMMU, Aug 23: Gangyal police arrested three drug peddlers including a girl along with 20 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station laid a naka near Kunjwani Chowk and intercepted Alto car bearing registration number JK02CE-3818.
During checking, police team recovered 20 grams of heroin from the possession of three persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Chetan Mishra, son of late Durgesh Mishra of Trikuta Nagar, Mandeep Singh alias Manu, son of Rajveer Singh of Bandu Rakh, Shiv Nagar Kunjwani and a girl hailing from Channi Himmat.
A case under FIR Number 89/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation initiated.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia accompanied by PSI BS Charak made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Ram Singh and SP South Vinay Sharma.
