JAMMU, Nov 30: D’Decor, one of India’s biggest brands in home fashion and furnishing has launched ‘Do Beautiful’- a special initiative to spread beauty among the deserving homes of Pune and the scheme is likely to be extended to other cities.
Under this initiative, Puneites can bring their old curtains to exclusive D’Decor stores or their nearest furnishing stores and these curtains will be given to deserving families to brighten their homes. To bolster the initiative, D’Decor has partnered with Parinaam Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation with a core vision of ‘Breaking intergenerational poverty’ and thereby engaged in programmes and efforts for improvement of livelihoods of socially and economically backward people.
Additionally, D’Decor is incentivising patrons by giving them a 30 percent discount on purchase of new D’Decor curtain fabric in exchange for the old curtains deposited.
“Since inception, D’Decor’s philosophy has been to ‘Live Beautiful’. We have always endeavoured to transform spaces into beautiful homes. We truly believe beauty should be inclusive for everyone and with this thought in mind, we have launched this initiative ‘Do Beautiful’. After all, it’s also beautiful when you do good !”, said Nikita Desai, Vice President – Strategy & Business Excellence, D’Decor.
Going beyond the basic needs, this initiative fulfils the need for window coverings which is a luxury for many homes. “We are very happy to partner with D’Decor in this initiative which is very different from the programmes that we have done in the past. The initiative in the maiden phase has been exclusively launched only in Pune till December 31, 2019 and is expected to expand to other cities in the coming months. “We are very positive that the people of Pune will come out in large numbers to support the cause” Nikita added.
