JAMMU, Dec 21: The contingent of 10 students of Geology (Hydrology and Soil Dynamics) of Kishtwar Campus who are proceeding for geological tour to Delhi, Udhaipur, Jaslmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jamshedpur and Ajmer met Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof MPS Ishar in presence of Director Kishtwar Campus Prof Shohab Inayat Malik.
While speaking, Prof Ishar said that job oriented courses like Geology (Hydrology and Soil Dynamics) have a lot of scope in the State as well as outside the State.
Kishtwar Campus is the only campus where Geology (Hydrology and Soil Dynamics) is being taught in the country and in the next session to make the course more effective, admission would be given to the Engineering students also for which proposal has already been approved, he added.
Prof Malik said that present batch of Geology students has got 100 per cent placement in various projects of national and multinational companies.
Students who interacted with Vice-Chancellor were Shakti Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mohd Nayyem, Insha, Raman, Yawer, Mudasir, Bilal Ahmed, Owais.
The teacher Incharge Dr Kuldeep Kumar and Assistant Programmer Ashish Sharma were also present.
