JAMMU, July 31: Alleging irregularities in recent transfers, members of General Line Teachers Forum held a protest demonstration in front of the office of Chief Education Officer Jammu, here today.
The protesting teachers, led by Neeraj Sharma,  State president of the Forum,  raised slogans against the Education authorities and alleged that set norms were violated by the CEO office in recent transfers on pick and choose basis.

While addressing the protest demonstration, Neeraj Sharma listed the instances when some blue eyed were transferred premature and several others at zero kilometer distance while one ReT was also transferred.
On the other hand, Neeraj Sharma added, teachers appointed in January 2016 are still working as surplus in various institutions and are waiting for proper adjustments .These surplus teachers are facing lot of hardships, particularly salary aspect as they have to observe many extra guidelines to get their salary, he further said and warned intensified protests if no action is taken against the prevailing chaos.
The protest demonstration was joined by Dr Parshotam Jamwal, Vivek Gupta, Sushma Sambyal, Rakesh Thakur, Sonu Sharma, Kulbhushan Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Himmat Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Pawandeep Kour, Gaganbir Singh, Naresh Manhas, Amit Dabgotra, Ramneesh Khajuria, Jeevakant, Surinder Singh, Waseem, Rawat Singh Ram Krishan, Naresh Sharma, Reeta Sambyal and others.
