JAMMU, Dec 11: General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) has raised its voice against transfer of Rehbar-e-Taleem teacher after their regularization and said that it would create financial mismanagement and administrative problem.
Addressing a press conference, here today, the GLTF president Neeraj Sharma said that general line teachers have been made scape goats by the politically motivated decisions of the previous Government for their more political gains.
“Government should not allow transfer of ReT Teachers and cancel those also, done previously, as all the ReT teachers withdraw salary from Plan head and transfer of SSA (ReT) Teachers against General Line Teachers (SSRB) post, who withdraw salary from Non-Plan Head, would create financial mismanagement
Further, he added, if ReTs Teachers are allowed to be transferred then this can be misused as some of the ReTs may deliberately manage their transfers even without need only to create vacancy of ReT Teachers in their school to adjust their relatives in that school.
The GLTF leader condemned the previous Government, which had issued the order number 469-Edu of 2014, dated 25/6/2014 according to which first five years temporary services rendered by ReT Teachers before regularization shall count for purpose of fixing their seniority.
The press conference was also addressed by Parshotam Singh, Ravinder Kumar and others, who demanded that B Ed should be made compulsory for recruitment of teachers and education allowances should be given to the teachers who possess higher qualification such as degrees of M Phil and Ph D.
