SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani, is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow for medical investigations while he turned down an offer of the State Government of providing State chopper for airlifting him to New Delhi.
The Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar, said that Geelani is stable and is in regular consultation with the doctors. “Large number of people today visited Geelani’s house to inquire about his health”, he added.
The spokesman said that Geelani is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow, where he would undergo medical investigations. “The rumors being spread about him are baseless. Since his return from New Delhi, he is suffering from respiratory infection, but his condition has improved,” he said.
“The State Government today offered State chopper to Geelani Sahib so that he could be airlifted to New Delhi for treatment, the offer was rejected out rightly by Geelani Sahib”, the spokesman said.
