GBIC appeals Gujjar-Bakarwal youth to unite for their rights

JAMMU, Jan 18: Gujjar and Bakarwal Itehad Council (GBIC) today exhorted upon Gujjar and Bakarwal youth to struggle unitedly for their rights.
In a press conference organized here at Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust to officially declare the structure along with the names of office bearers, GBIC State president, Tazeem Chowdhary said GBIC is the necessity of the present day youth of Gujjar and Bakarwal community and has been framed to provide the track to the youth of the State to struggle unitedly for their rights.
Tazeem exhorted upon the youth of J&K particularly Gujjars and Bakarwals to come under the banner of GBIC for the nourishment of their leadership quality and fight against the injustice meted out to the community.
Highlighting various demands of Gujjar and Bakarwal community like political reservation, inclusion of Gojri language in the eighth schedule, start of Gojri news bulletin from AIR New Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar stations of Doordarshan, Tazeem said that both State and Central Government have been deliberately ignoring their demands.
Ashraf Pardesi, senior State vice president, Irfan Paswal, State vice president, Saleem Chowdhary general secretary, Mumtaz Kohli, secretary, Tariq Choudhary, media person, Altaf Choudhary, spokesperson, Mushtaq Inqulabi, convener, Irtiza Mushtaq Salaria, legal advisor of the organization, were are also present on the occasion.
