Ganpatyar Mandir Samiti frames Steering Committee

JAMMU, June 19: A meeting of the members enrolled for General Council of the Ganesh Mandir Prabhandak Samiti, Ganpatyar Srinagar and un enrolled members of the community was held here at Sharika Bhawan, Subash Nagar under the chairmanship of senior KP leader Hirday Nath Jattu.
The meeting was also attended by prominent human rights activist and president Panun Kashmir Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo.
The meeting discussed the problems being faced by Shrine /Temple with regard to its upkeep and management and the members in stressed that necessary steps be taken so that the pristine grandeur is restored to the ancient temple/ shrine of Ganpatyar, Srinagar.
In the meeting a Steering Committee was formed and H N Jattu and Ashok Braroo were proposed as convenor and co-convenor of the Committee respectively which was supported by all members present in the meeting.
Besides, Shiban Krishan Pandita, Tej Krishen Koul Jigyaso, Rajinder Chrungoo, B L Raina, Kanhaya Lal Qasba, Sanjay Raina and Ashok Sahib were nominated to the Committee. The meeting resolved that the members will remain in touch with community members living across the country and apprise them of day to day activities. The Committee also decided to move ahead with the membership enrollment drive to strengthen it so that the elections for formation of an Executive Body can be held.
The meeting among others was attended by M K Koul, Mohan Ji Kampasi, Shiban Kirshan Hakhu a social activist, Roop Krishen, Kamal Chaku, Ramesh Koul, Ravi Jogi, Bharat Ji Gosani.
