JAMMU : Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today participated in Hanuman Jayanti celebrations being organized at Dwarkapuri temple near Vijaypur in district Samba.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the place is known for its religious significance as river Devika running through Sudh Mahdev, Udhampur and reaches Purmandal. He said that the place shall be developed as religious tourist destination and also announced Rs 1 lakh for its development.
Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Hanuman. A large number of devotees thronged the temple premises at participate in the celebrations.
On the occasion, he also extended greetings to the people on the pious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
