JAMMU, July 14: Former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga today launched blacktopping work on 1.75 km road from National Highway to Village Khadergal upto Seelam temple.
Being constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.50 crore under NABARD, the road was a long pending demand of locals which has been fulfilled with the efforts of former Minister.
Ganga, while addressing the people on the occasion, said that sticking to its agenda of creating durable assets under all development sectors, Modi Government has succeeded in expanding a firm road network in most of the parts of the country. He said that numerous schemes have been launched by the Centre and the State Government to empower the people of Jammu and Kashmir socially, economically and politically. He credited the people’s cooperation also in getting the desired and targeted outcome of several welfare and development programmes launched for larger interest of the society.
Ganga, while elaborating on development works in the area, said that the Government is raising better basic amenities in these border areas so that the people get equal opportunities of progress and prosperity.
Terming a corruption free and transparent governance as a key focus of Modi Government, Ganga said the Prime Minister has set India on a transformational path to rapid development and growth through numerous structural and institutional reforms. “India has carved out a niche for itself at the global stage under the stewardship of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi”, he asserted.
He elaborated on the work done in the fields of roads, infrastructural development, rapid industrial growth and Skill Development to drive home the message of how the Government has been transforming lives. He said the Modi Government took many bold decisions in the interest of the nation. He also highlighted several schemes including AYUSH, Ujjwala, Insurance schemes, Swachh Bharat Mission, Fasal Bima Yojna, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, electrification etc. The Government is working to end corruption on a war footing, he added.
Saying that the ideology and principles of a political party plays a crucial role in taking the nation towards peace, progress and prosperity, the former Minister asserted that BJP will carry forward the mission chartered out by the Prime Minister.
