Galgotias’ students make ‘Welcoming Robot’

JAMMU, Nov 22: Second and third year students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics of Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology have built a robot welcoming guests successfully under the inspiration and guidance of their HoD, Dr A Ambikapati.
The robot, known as the “Welcome Robot,” will first offer a bouquet in the honor of the visiting guests, then shake hands and welcome the person saying, “Welcome to Triple E of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology” .
The robot can be operated in three ways. The Wi- Fi module can be operated in a range of one and a half kilometers using the Bluetooth module and remote control. The students had completed this project in 20 days with their hard work.
The students involved in this project include Ashish, Mithali, Osama, Sarthak, Reiya, Vikash, Vanshika, Kajol and Bhavya along with the project coordinator, Abhishek and Aamir.
HoD Dr A Ambikapati of Triple E Department has played a very important role for the students. He wished all the students on their success and expressed his gratitude to Chancellor, Sunil Galgotia of the University, CEO Dhruv Galgotia and College Director VK Dwivedi for their encouragement along with financial support and the immediate release of funds.
