Gadigarh police arrest driver for smuggling 5 bovines

JAMMU, May 5: Gadigarh police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of a driver along with five milch animals.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Gadigarh police post laid a naka at Dhadap and intercepted a Tata Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02BA-4651.
On seeing police party, the driver speeds up the vehicle and tried to escape, but the vehicle was chased by the active cops of Gadigarh and intercepted near some distance.
During checking, police rescued five bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Rashid Ali, son of Sain Ali, a resident of Langotia, Miran Sahib.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gadigarh police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Gadigarh police post SI Arun Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari police station Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary, SDPO Gandhi Nagar DySP Sachin Gupta, SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
