JAMMU, July 25: A meeting of District and City Treasury Officers of Jammu Province was held under the chairmanship of Director Accounts and Treasuries Jammu Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan to review the function of the treasuries.
The representatives from the office of Accountant General, Joint Director Funds Organization Jammu, Commercial Taxes and NIC also participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, Director emphasized on strict implementation of Aadhar Biometric Attendance System (AEBAD) and asked the participating Treasury Officers to adhere to the various orders and circulars issued by the Higher Authorities from time to time. As the biometric attendance system stands installed in all the treasuries across Jammu Province, it was impressed upon the Treasury Officers to ensure effective control of attendance of all the staff members through biometric system.
Chauhan asked all the participating officers that the revision of pension cases under 7th pay commission are reaching their respective treasuries and they are duty bound to furnish the same to the AG Office in a time bound manner.
While reviewing the performance regarding computerization of treasuries, Director asked the NIC authorities to come up with some concrete proposal for alternate service provide where lease connectivity of BSNL is not feasible.
He also emphasized in clearance of audit paras, Red DC accounts and OB suspense. Besides, the importance for rendition of monthly accounts to various quarters within stipulated time frame.
Director also took up the issues raised by the representatives of AG Office, Commercial Taxes and Joint Director Funds Organization Jammu and directed the Treasury Officers concerned to redress the issues on priority basis. He also sensitized the participating officers to ensure timely uploading of the NPS subscription to the Trustee Bank within stipulated time for effective monitoring of public money.
