Fresh snowfall leads to blockage of several roads, power outage

REASI, Jan 24: Moderate snowfall in the upper reaches of Rajouri district yesterday has led to power outage in various villages of sub-division Dharmari and Mahore while several roads were also reported closed due to which locals were forced to remain in their homes.
The main road from Mahore to Gool was blocked due to snowfall at Daggan top and the road from Angralla to Gulabgarh, Dharmari to Budhan, Dharmari to Chilladh were also closed.
Electricity in various remote villages, including Budhan, Malla, Ganjoli, Jamaslan, Tukson, Shadol, Lar, Khor, Baransal, Gulabgarh, Kaidora, Dewal, Nihoch, Shabras etc remained off after snowfall. Locals complained that the electricity bills of December month have been delivered at their homes even as they were rarely provided the electricity supply in the month. There is severe shortage of water also due to snowfall.
Locals have appealed the administration to restore electricity and roads immediately.
