JAMMU:A fresh batch of 2,128 pilgrims today left for the Holy Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas base camp here.
“A batch of 2,128 pilgrims comprising 1562 male, 399 female, 20 children, 135 sadhus and 12 sadhvis left for the cave shrine in a fleet of 59 vehicles,” a police spokesman here said.
He said the vehicles included 47 State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses and 12 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs). The first bus left at 0500 hrs while the last bus left at 0520 hrs amid tight security arrangements. (AGENCIES)
