NEW DELHI, May 18: Freight rates for 10-tonne load improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following shortage of trucks in the markets.
Transporters said busy cargo movements and less position of trucks mainly pushed up freights.
Delhi to Pondicherry, Hyderabad and Goa rates moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 69,000, Rs 51,000 and Rs 52,000.
Banglore, Mysore, Kochi and Kolkata rates also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 64,000, Rs 68,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 32,000.
