Free medical camp held

JAMMU, May 27: A one-day free medical cum awareness camp was organized by Regional Red Cross Society, Jammu in collaboration with Hirdey deep Ashram at Hari Prabhu Ashray, Nagrota Gujroo here today.
Meanwhile, KLSM Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital Udhampur also held eye camp at the Ashray.
Anil Padha from regional red Cross Society, Jammu and Dr SP Sharma, Director, Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital, inaugurated the medical check up and eye camp.
During the camp, 230 patients were checked up out of which 15 patients were screened for cataract surgery, which will be done free of cost at Rotary Eye and ENT Hospital Udhampur.
On the occasion, free medicines were distributed to the patients which were arranged by hardy deep Ashram, Jammu. Relief material was also distributed among the poor and needy through Regional Red Cross Society.
Sanstha also arranged free spectacles for 35 people belonging to BPL category suffering from low visionary problem. Meritorious students of the area were also honoured by the Sanstha.
