Four drug peddlers arrested with heroin, ganja

JAMMU, July 10: Gangyal, Miran Sahib and Kanachack Police arrested four drug peddlers along with heroin and ganja.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gangyal led by ASI Vijay Kumar under the supervision of SHO Gangyal Inspector Joginder Singh, SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma laid a naka at Sehora and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BW-4527.
During checking, police team recovered 8 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohd Shareef, son of Mohd Bulli of Shergarh (Gidder Galiyan) Miran Sahib District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 78/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Puran Surinder Singh laid a naka at Kullian and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK11A-5686.
During frisking, police team recovered 15 grams heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the vehicle and nabbed them.
The accused were identified as Amandeep Singh, son of Harbans Singh and Kawaljeet Singh, son of Karam Singh, both residents of Bhour Camp Ward Number 2 District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 72/2022 under section 8/21/22 /29/60 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation initiated.
However, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh laid a naka at Sun Number 1 and apprehended a man along with 910 grams of ganja.
The arrested person was identified as Sanjay Singh, son of Jagan Nath Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Bikram Chowk District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 79/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
