JAMMU, Oct 15: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested four persons along with 2 kilograms heroin.
As per police spokesman, a team from Bahu Fort police station laid a naka at Railway Morh and intercepted a Maruti car driven by Wasim Ahmed.
During checking, police recovered around 1.5 kg heroin like substance from the possessions of four persons including driver.
The accused hailing from Kashmir have been arrested and the heroin was seized.
A case under FIR Number 211/16 under Section 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act has been registered at police station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source and destination of consignment.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Chandan Kholi, SDPO East and Shaazad Salaria, SP South.
