Forum asks Govt to regularize ReTs, release SSA salary

JAMMU, June 26: Monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum was held today at Exhibition Ground Jammu, under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma.
The meeting was attended by the District presidents and State executive body members of the Forum who highlighted the genuine issues of ReT cadre
While addressing, Vinod Sharma alleged that the ReT teachers were being harassed by the Department on the name of screening test whereas it was still not cleared by the department that which boards or universities are fake and which are genuine. He further appealed the Government not to harass the teachers who have acquired their degrees from UGC recognized universities.
He also said that ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for last more than four months and have been facing a lot of problems to meet out the daily basic needs of their family members, including clothing for their children and medicines for their ailing parents. He said that SSA salary issue is a chronic problem and needs a permanent solution for the welfare of thousands of ReTs of the State.
He also demanded early regularization of ReT teachers who have obtained their degrees from UGC recognized universities and whose files are lying in the office of Director School Education Jammu for the last six months.
The Forum appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene to resolve the issues of ReTs.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukhdev Singh Sumbria , Rajesh Jamwal, Sham Sharma, Rajender Kumar ,Lekh Raj Parihar, Jasbir Singh , Ravinder Singh, Navjot Singh, Manzoor Malik, Hans Raj, Vinod Shastri, Manohar Chowdhary, Surinder Sharma, Anil Dev Singh, Suresh, Dinesh Singh, Rajinder Singh and Raj Mohan Singh.
