Former SSP to contest as independent candidate from Suchetgarh segment

JAMMU, Nov 17: Prominent social worker and SSP (Rtd) Bhupinder Singh has decided to contest forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Suchetgarh Assembly constituency.
Soon after taking this decision, Mr Singh toured various Panchayats of Suchetgarh Assembly constituency and interacted with people, who assured to support him in the elections keeping in view his commitment to redress their grievances.
Mr Singh told them that he has taken the decision to contest elections independently on the persistent demand of the people and his main aim would be to serve the masses. “If voted to power, I will leave no stone unturned to ensure that each and every grievance of this Assembly constituency is redressed in a time bound manner”, he added.
Addressing public meetings at Jangwal, Talhar, Rayian Di Kotli, Badyal-Bhramana, Fatehpur Salariyan, Kalali Tibba, Khepar, Kadyal and other adjoining areas , he said, “it is due to lack of awareness among the voters that those who have unparliamentary behavior, criminal background and unfair track record get elected to the Legislature”.
He asked the people to keep in mind the hollow promises made by the politicians from this Assembly constituency before casting their votes in the forthcoming polls. “I am not going to make tall promises but I can only assure that I will be at the beck and call of the people of this Assembly constituency”, he added.
Prominent among those present in the meetings were Capt Dilbagh Singh, Inspector Darshan Lal, Master Puran Kumar, Capt Ghara Ram, Sub Santokh Singh, Deeraj Raina, Subash Raina, Ravinder Chib, Ch Daya Ram, Ch Sawaran, Gurnam Singh, Satinder Singh, Kewal Krishan, Ch Jasbir Singh,  Ch Satpal, Parveen Kumar Bhagat, Mohinder Singh, Santokh Singh, Rahul Sharma, Sujan Singh, Kamal Choudhary, Gurvinder Pujwal, Pawan Randhawa and Neeraj Gupta.
