JAMMU, Mar 18: To ensure that safe and nutritious food is served to customers, Food Safety wing of Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Jammu conducted a special drive and inspected canteens operational in main hospitals of Jammu City.
A team of Food Safety headed by Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, Municipal limits, Jammu inspected canteens of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and other nearby hospitals and advised the owners to keep the infrastructure of their establishments neat and clean.
They were also asked to cook food properly, wash all the vegetables and raw material properly, and maintain personal hygiene to check infection from Coronavirus.
The team also visited Trikuta Complex, where several food shops were found opened. They were directed to stop the commercial activities and to adhere the orders passed by District Magistrate Jammu.
The Food Safety team also inspected manufacturing units in Gangyal area and lifted samples for analysis.
