Food Festival inaugurated at J&K House

NEW DELHI, Aug 20: A Food Festival was inaugurated by Principal Resident Commissioners of J&K and Tamil Nadu, R.K.Gupta, Jasbir Singh Bajaj and N. Muruganandam respectively at J&K Guest House Chanakya Puri, here today.
This Food Festival has been organized by Jammu and Kashmir and its pairing State Tamil Nadu under the programme “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat” (EBSB) launched by Prime Minister to undertake mutual engagements of States/UTs with one another according to a structured plan i.e. Tamil Nadu organised food festival today at J&K Guest House, Chanakya Puri, and J&K will organise food festival on August 27 at Tamil Nadu House.
The special attraction of today’s festival was the display of Traditional Handloom and Handicrafts of Tamil Nadu. The officials said that the occasion provided an opportunity to intermingle the culture of both the States through the flavour of tasting food which shows the feeling of National Integration and also to achieve an aim of greater bonding amongst the people of different States.
