FoIJ delegation takes up issues with Advisor

JAMMU, Aug 28: A delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, chairman, FoIJ met Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Advisor to Governor at Jammu today in presence of Deepak Dhawan, co-chairman, Ajay Langer convener, Suresh Mahajan, senior vice president, BBIA and others and took up the issues of the Industrialists with him.
During the course of discussions, Mahajan raised the issues related to Industrial Sector of J&K in respect of non-issuance of State Govt notification for the revision in the maximum safe axle weight, as per the Govt of India Notification No. SO 3467 (E) Dated July 16, 2018 issued by Ministry of Road Transport & Highway as our unit holders are facing problems as the Transport Department at Lakhanpur imposing heavy penalty of over load resulting transporters refused to load the material due to non- revision of revise axle weight by the J&K Govt.
Further, the issues in respect of exemption to Industrial unit from water charges under Water Resources (Regulation & Management) Act, 2010 and Toll Tax exemption to industrial units on the import of Walnut from outside the State as their raw material also discussed in detail.
Ganai, gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by FOIJ and assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
