FMPHWs discuss demands

JAMMU, June 3: A meeting of Female Multipurpose Health Workers was held today in the office chamber of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF, wherein the demands of FMPHWs were discussed.
In the meeting, Neelam Kumari, general secretary, Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association, on behalf of all the female workers highlighted their genuine problems and demands including release of pending salary of FMPHWs working under 2211 Head, permanent solution of Salary Head 2211 in Health and Family Welfare Department and upgradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech, X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophthalmic Tech.
The demands for creation of the post of LHVs in new PHCs, allotment of 50% quota in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated: 20-04-1992 were also discussed.
