RAMBAN, June 3: A Range Level Folk Dance Competition under Civic Action Programme was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, here by District Police.
The competition was held under the supervision of Randeep Kumar, SSP Ramban and overall supervision of Nissar Ahmed, DIG, DKR Range, Batote.
170 students comprising of 140 girls and 30 boys of Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban, Bhartiya Vidhya Mandir High School Ramban and a famous group of Thali Dance hailing from Ramban participated in the function.
Thali Dance group was adjudged winner, while second prize was secured by Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban and third prize was won by Bhartiya Vidhya Mandir High School Ramban. The winners were awarded with a cash reward of Rs 5000, Rs 4000 and Rs 3000 alongwith certificates respectively.
The function was attended by Mushtaq Ahmed Choudhary, Additional SP Ramban, Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary, DySP Headquarters Ramban, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Ramban and school staff of other schools.
