JAMMU, Feb 17: The Department of Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu orchestrated State Level Event under Centrally Sponsored Scheme (MIDH) at Jammu
The event was inaugurated by Jatinder Singh, Director General Floriculture Parks and Gardens Jammu in the presence of Dr. Rakesh Sharda, Principal Scientist PAU Ludhiana and Dr. R.K Pandey, HoD Floriculture and Landscaping, SKUAST Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General deliberated upon various schemes related to Commercial Floriculture under MIDH. He stressed upon the officers to impart the farmers regarding irrigation practices, protected cultivation, packages and practices of Floricultural crops,field visit of farmers.
He also urged upon the unemployed youths and farmers to register themselves under the scheme and start their own venture in aromatic plant cultivation, ornamental nursery and use of integrated farming for their employment and revenue generation.
Prominent among others present were Dr. Rakesh Sharda, Dr. R.K. Pandey Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, Dr. R. S Sodhi, Gurneet Kour, Vikrant Kumar, Sunil Singh , Ishtiaq Ahmad Malik.
