Five more houses attached for harboring terrorists in J&K’s Srinagar

SRINAGAR, JULY 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that they have attached five more residential houses for being used for terrorism purpose in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Srinagar Police took to a twitter and wrote, “Five more houses attached as per sections 2(g) & 25 of UAP act for being used for terrorism purpose. Two are in Lawaypura, One each in Maloora, Batmaloo & Harwan.”
“These houses were used by active terrorists as hideouts to conspire, plan & execute terror acts in Srinagar district”, they said.
Meanwhile, Police in a statement said, After taking prior approval of PHQ, the following properties have been attached as per provisions of sec 2(g) and 25 Unlawful activities prevention actact.
Residential houses of Baber Suhail Sofi S/O Mohd Yousuf Sofi R/O Lawaypora Usman abad , Adil Mohd Lone S/O Gh Mohd Lone R/O Bazar Mohalla Lawaypora & Muzaffar Ahmad Mir, Rameez Ahmad Mir both sons of Khursheed Ahmad Mir R/O Maloora.
The statement reads, These houses were used by terrorists who were involved in case FIR Mo.48/2021 U/S 307,302,392,120/B IPC, 7/25,7/27 A-Act 16,18,20, UA(P) Act registered in police station Parimpora.
Residential House in Firdous Abad Batamaloo belonging to one Abdul Majeed ganie S/O Gh Mohd in Case FIR No 128/2020 U/S 7/27 A Act ,16,19, 20 UAPA, 302 ,307 IPC in Batmaloo PSPS. One double storey house in respect of Ab Rehman Bhat S/o Ab Razaq Bhat R/o Darbagh Harwan (father of accused Ashiq Hussain Bhat) involved in case FIR No 95/2021 U/S under section 307 IPC 7/27 A Act, 13,16,18,19,20 UAP Act dated 19-12-2021 of PS Harwan.
“During course of investigation, it was proved beyond doubt that these houses were used by active terrorists in conspiring, planning and executing terrorist acts in Srinagar district. The house owners willfully provided shelter and harboured the terrorists in these houses, they also logistics needed for such stay”, it reads.
The general public is once again requested to not harbour or provide shelter or extend logistics to terrorists/terror associates in their houses, failing which strict legal action will be taken against anyone doing so.
