Five injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Jan 8: Five persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a pedestrian identified as Razia (57) wife of Jameel, resident of Bajalta, was today hit and injured by a car at Kacchi Chawani.
Two youth identified as Harmanpreet (22) son of Kulwinder Singh and Balkeet (18) son of Gurdeep Singh, both residents of New Plot, were injured when the rashly driven bike on which they were going on, got slipped at Kacchi Chawani.
In another incident, a 6-year-old girl identified as Aliya Khan, daughter of Shokat, resident of Nagrota sustained injuries after she was hit by a car at Nagrota Bye Pass. Another pedestrian identified as Navpreet Soni (32) son of Nirmaljeet, resident of Janipur got injured after he was hit by a bike at Janipur.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
