Srinagar, Apr 26: The corporate employees have a new digital platform to look up to for their health and well-being.
The highly reputed Apollo hospitals unveiled a new wellness app, “Apollo JIYO”, that helps corporate professionals track their sleep time and helps them observe patterns and stress reductions while also providing health tips to follow.
The app, which also provides exercise tips, was inspired by a workshop by Deepak Chopra, according to Upasana, MD of Apollo Life.
“We are happy to have partnered with Dr Deepak Chopra, leading wellness guru for this initiative. Through this partnership, we will be able to bring global experts, products, and services faster and directly to the smart phones and desktops of the user. The objective behind Apollo Jiyo is to “Uberise” wellness through individualized healthcare information, products and services to the community through curated unique resources,” Apollo Hospitals chairman Dr Prathap C. Reddy said.
Co-Founder, JIYO and Chairman, Chopra Foundation, Dr Deepak Chopra said ‘Apollo-JIYO’ will create an Eco-system, which will help people to easily participate in both the prevention and treatment of chronic illness.
“The future of wellbeing is tied to how everyday experiences influence our biology, including our gene expression and neuroplasticity. The future of medicine is personalized, preventive, participatory, process-oriented and predictable. The goal of this initiative is to help employees experience a joyful energetic body, loving compassionate heart, restful alert mind and lightness of being. This is key to personal transformation and well-being,” he said.
According to him, the personalisation and health tracking tools like sleep patterns, stress reduction, and exercise tips are built in for individuals.
“For corporate houses, this shall help contribute to reducing HR medical insurance spends, reduce absenteeism and increase productivity. Companies also get a group profile at the beginning of the program to check the Health Score Card of their Workforce,” Dr Chopra said.
