JAMMU, Nov 8: Inferno broke out in the top floor of a building when a fire cracker landed inside a shop in Bhagat Singh Chowk area of Jewel area here.
As per police sources, major fire broke out in the top floor of a building near Bhagat Singh Chowk area of Jewel here on late last night.
Scrap items were dumped inside the shop when a burning cracker landed inside and the fire broke out.
Two fire tenders and fire fighters were immediately pressed into service and the flames were doused timely and prevented it from spreading it to nearby locations.
No injury or major loss of life was reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Nowabad police has taken cognizance in this regards.
