SRINAGAR, Jan 20: Police today registered a case against the employees of the Pahalgam Municipal Committee for thrashing the Chairman of the committee.
A case (FIR No. 1/2020 dated 20-02-20 under Sections 353 and 323 of CrPC) has been registered in Police Station Pahalgam.
Chairman of the MC Pahalgam, Rayees Ahmad Lone, lodged a complaint with the police that he was thrashed by the employees of the MC. In the complaint, he accused them of thrashing him after he recommended that the employees of the MC be suspended for coming late to the duty.
In his complaint, he said as the recommendation reached to the office of the Executive Officer of Pahalgam MC, the employees barged into Chairman’s office and thrashed him and his deputy Basit Ahmad Magray.
