*Scribes, others protest, demand action

RAJOURI, Dec 5: The police has registered an FIR against former MLA Rajouri and his associates for the alleged assault on a media-person in Thannamandi area.
Sources said that within a span of three days, Ex- MLA Rajouri and Apni Party member Qamar Choudhary allegedly attacked a media person and a Congress activist. Choudhary today assaulted mediaperson, Jahangir Khan associated with Awami Lehar, Sadahe Kohistan, Aazan- e- Sehar Media houses.
While talking to media, Khan told that when he was traveling with his family members towards Rajouri at Behrote Green his car was stopped by Ex- MLA. Then he and his PSO allegedly assaulted and abused. He also threatened him for life.
Soon after the incident the public of Thannamandi led by Media fraternity, Beopar Mandal and many prominent locals including Hakam Din, Zubair Shah, Arshad Khan, Rashid Choudhary, Qazi Farooq, Tabraiz Choudhary, Mushtaq Khan, Shakeel Ahmed, Mohd Younas, Talib Hussain and many others gathered in the town and held proptest. They raised slogans against Qamar Chouadhary and demanded removal of security of Ex-MLA.
Later, the preotesting public met SDPO Thannamandi Sajjad Khan and demanded strict legal action against Qamar Choudhary for his criminal acts. SDPO assured action in this regard.
SHO Thannamandi said that an FIR No. 223/2020 U/S 323, 341, 504, 506 CrPC has been registered at Police Station Thannamandi against Ex MLA Rajouri Qamar Choudhary.
It is pertinent to mentioin here that Qamar had also assaulted a Congress activist Ch Abdul Ghani of Lah village two days ago but police has yet to take cognizance of the matter.
