Fine of Rs 50,000 collected from violators of CAB

SAMBA, July 27: Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB), Samba Police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 100 persons across the district and imposed a fine amounting to Rs. 50,000 on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that people of the district follow CAB, various joint teams of police and district civil administration booked 100 persons for not wearing face masks, not following social distancing norms and for spitting in public places.
Police appealed to the citizens of Samba to always wear face mask, avoid unnecessary travels to crowded places, avoid social gatherings and always follow CAB as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
