Financial Literacy Camp ‘Go Digital Go Secure’ held

JAMMU, Feb 17: Punjab National Bank (PNB) organised Financial Literacy Camp ‘Go Digital Go Secure’ at Village Gagian RS Pura, near here today.
This year’s topic for Financial Literacy Week has been chosen by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This is one of the strategic plans for financial education 2020-2025 as strategic goals.
As per the statement issued here, the RBI will focus on raising awareness about the ease of online payments, their security and client protection.  The RBI has directed all the banks to spread information and raise awareness about the event among their clients and the general public.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Yatender Kumar (DGM) Circle Head, PNB Jammu Circle wherein Rohit Raina, Chief Manager, IT team leader and Balvinder Kumar Branch Head conducted today’s camp.
Sarpanch Capt. Hans Raj along with the local villagers and students of Government Middle School participated in the camp. The PNB officials deliberated on the various types of digital product being offered by the Bank, its benefits and precautions to be taken while using this digital platform.
It was emphasised that digital transactions are fast replacing the physical cash transactions which are very easy to use and are available on 24X7 as per the convenience of account holders.
Capt Hans Raj thanked the PNB team for holding such financial literacy camps in their area for spreading awareness among the public. Stationary items were also distributed among the student participants.
