UDHAMPUR, May 4: An elderly female pedestrian was knocked to death by a rashly driven vehicle on the National Highway near Tikri, this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shankari Devi (65), wife of Chand of Panchari.
According to the police reports, an unknown vehicle on its way from Jammu to Udhampur hit the victim, who got critically injured and was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Tikri for treatment, where doctor referred her to GMC Jammu Hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment at GMC Jammu.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
