SRINAGAR, May 4: Police arrested a group of three burglars and recovered stolen goods worth lakhs of rupees in Sopore town of Baramulla district today.
A Police spokesman said that a case of burglary in which burglars had sneaked inside shop at Amargarh Sopore was registered in Police Station Tarzoo vide FIR No: 32/2018 under Section 457, 380, 411, 34, 420 RPC.
He said during the course of investigation, several suspects were retained for questioning and later three suspects Mohammad Lateef Wani, a resident of Mochawa Kanipora Srinagar, Bilal Ahmad Malla, a resident of Bypass Amargarh Sopore and Gh. Hassan Mir, a resident of Omar Abad Colony Bypass Amargarh Sopore were found to be involved in the crime.
“Stolen goods worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from their possession. Besides, a Maruti 800 vehicle bearing registration No JK05-6618 which had been used in this burglary was also seized. Further investigation in this case is going on. More recoveries are expected,” he said.
